UP Mukhyamantri Tablet Smartphone Distribution: Smartphones will be distributed in UP from 15th, list is being Prepared.
The Uttar Pradesh government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has planned to distribute free mobile phones and tablets to nearly one crore college students in his state. However, the work on this UP Free Smartphone Yojana is still going on. The UP state government is planning to provide free tablets and smartphones to undergraduate and postgraduate students from technical, medical and nursing institutions.It is being said that the state government will distribute these devices only to those enrolled in skill development programmes. Officials aware of this matter have given this information.
Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath has talked to the officials about this in a meeting held on Saturday. In this meeting, he instructed to prepare a list of eligible students so that by the end of November, smartphones and tablets can be distributed to the students under the UP Free Smartphone Yojana. As per reports, Chief Secretary RK Tiwari said that the devices will help in digitally empowering the students and creating job opportunities for them.
He has given the responsibility of preparing the information of the registered students of their affiliated colleges to the universities of the state of Uttar Pradesh. Along with this, instructions have been given to send the information of this UP Free Smartphone Yojana to the offices of the District Magistrates. According to the orders of the Industrial Development Department, this office will verify this information at the district level and distribute the smartphone-tablet.
Significantly, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath had announced that his government would lay the foundation stone of a government medical college in Sultanpur. Keeping the foundation stone, UP Free Smartphone Yojana will distribute tablets and smartphones to the youth by 15th December. If seen, this step can prove to be a good step of the UP government.

The announcement was made after the budget was presented in the Uttar Pradesh state assembly in August this year. In this budget, there was talk of making the youth digitally efficient and for this UP Free Smartphone Yojana, Rs 3,000 crore was earmarked for the purchase of smartphones and tablets. The government has already invited bids to buy 2.5 million smartphones and tablets. It is expected that more devices can be bought soon.
Apart from this, the Uttar Pradesh government has also proposed to give free laptops to the meritorious students of class 10th and 12th. The state government is planning to give 20 lakh free laptops to its top students. These students may be the ones who cannot afford to buy such equipment. Important things of UP Free Laptop Scheme –
The Uttar Pradesh government here announced a plan to distribute free tablets and smart phones to meritorious and poor students to support them in their studies. Under this UP Free Smartphone Yojana, laptops will be distributed free of cost to about 22 lakh students. Those candidates who are permanent residents of Uttar Pradesh and have 65 percent or more marks in class 10th and 12th can apply to take advantage of this scheme.

After the data is fed on the official portal, the work of distributing laptops will start. For this work, the UP government has planned to launch a special portal DG Shakti Portal. Soon this portal will be started and through this the work of distributing it in the UP Free Smartphone Yojana will be started. According to media reports, the work of distributing free laptops and smart phones will start from the second week of December.Along with this, free data will also be provided to them.
